Aims of our treatments are to provide a safe, nurturing environment where our clients are able to relax and feel free from expectation. Often people are able to release emotions during therapy and experience their body feeling positive. This can encourage a needed shift in thoughts and self image, helping to promote a healthy self-esteem.
When residing in either secure units or residential centres of some kind, our sessions can be a welcome break for service users to enjoy some space. Dependant on each individual’s care plan, staff may wish to accompany patients to their sessions.
In such environments, we work closely with Occupational Therapy Departments (OT). Offering our therapeutic services for individuals to take part in, enhances and compliments the activities provided by OT.
